About
A small team that ships
Safi Studio is led by Abdulkader Safi. We design and build websites, mobile apps, and the plugins and integrations that connect the tools a business already runs.
The studio exists because of a gap that kept showing up. Companies buy good software, then discover that none of it talks to the rest. A CRM here, a store there, a warehouse system somebody configured years ago, and a person in the middle copying records between them. Nobody sells the piece that closes that gap, because it is different in every company. So we build it.
Who you are working with
Safi Studio is run by Abdulkader Safi, a software engineer who founded the studio and still writes production code on every project. Work is delivered by a small senior team: a designer and at least one engineer per project, brought together for the job rather than assigned from a bench.
That shape is deliberate. It means the person answering your first email is the person who will build the thing, and it means we take a handful of projects at a time instead of filling a pipeline and staffing it later.
How we work
We scope before we quote. A call, then a written scope with a fixed price. You know the number before you commit, and it only moves if you change the scope.
We say no. If a connector, an existing plugin or an afternoon of your own team’s time would solve the problem, that is the reply you get. We would rather lose a small project than sell you one you did not need.
You own everything. The repository, the app store accounts, the hosting and the domains stay in your name. There is no retainer you have to keep paying to keep your own software running, and no part of the stack only we can log into.
We build against the real thing. Real APIs, real auth, real permissions, real data volumes, from the first week. Demos that only work on sample data are how projects die in month three.
What we are not
We are not a marketing agency with a development department. We do not do brand strategy, ad campaigns or SEO retainers. We are not the right choice if you need twenty developers next month, and we will tell you that on the first call rather than after a contract.
Where we are
The team works remotely with clients worldwide, in English, across European and American time zones. Most projects run start to finish without anyone getting on a plane, and the ones that do not are usually a workshop at the beginning.
How we run
FAQ
The questions we get asked
Who runs Safi Studio?
Abdulkader Safi runs Safi Studio. He is a software engineer who founded the studio and still writes production code on every project, so you talk to the people doing the work rather than an account manager.
How big is the team?
Small and senior by design. Each project has a designer and at least one engineer on it, and we run a handful of projects at a time rather than filling a pipeline and staffing it later.
Is Safi Studio a studio or a freelancer?
A studio. A freelancer is one person and one skill, so design, build and the integration work queue behind each other. Here a designer and an engineer work on a project at the same time, and there is a second pair of eyes on the code. The trade is that we take fewer projects at once.
How is this different from a full-service agency?
An agency sells brand, media and development from one door, and the development is usually the department furthest from the people who won the work. This team only builds. There is no account layer between you and the engineer, no media budget attached, and the price is fixed against a written scope instead of an hourly meter.
Where is Safi Studio based?
The team works remotely with clients worldwide, in English, across European and American time zones.
Who owns the work when a project ends?
You do, from day one. The repository, the accounts and the infrastructure are in your name, and nothing is locked to us.
Do you take on maintenance after launch?
Yes, when you want it, and never as a condition of the build. Plenty of clients take the handover and run it themselves, which is the point of shipping the source and the documentation.
